8A have studied adaptations this last few sessions in Science. Today they had the unpleasant task of dissecting a fish and looking at the the parts which are adapted to survive in their environment. They learnt about how they breathe and what different parts of its body, inside and out, are actually used for. Some students found eggs inside of the fish, which provided the opportunity for them to be reminded about our British values and respect all life. Even when life is used for learning or as a food source.
They all did very well with the gruesome task…much better than Mrs Ledger and Miss Ward did! And they learned a lot in the process too!
Well done everyone
