Enrichment Activities

Aspire students will learn from many, varied enrichment activities. These include opportunities to travel abroad to visit the battlefields of World War One; visiting students in our link schools in Poland and China. Projects with link school around the world further enhance student learning and experience. Students participate in educational visits in this country too. Those on external provisions have the opportunity to build their resilience and endurance skills through trying new activities such as boxing, sailing and rock climbing.

Enrichment can, and does, happen in our classrooms too. Aspire takes the opportunity to teach our students about current and world affairs, on a regular basis This is in addition to themed teaching of British events and traditions. Our KS3 Loft programme is designed with enrichment for all KS3 in mind. Aspire’s blog can tell you more about this! Please take a look.

Wide and varied enrichment experiences are available outside the classroom. There are many enrichment activities students and parents can organise and do on their own, at the end of the school day, weekends and school holidays.

Below are just a few of our current enrichment activities:

  • Innovations STEM Club

  • Board games

  • Cooking

  • Dance Class

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Gardeners World

  • Couch to 5k

  • Sport

  • Textiles

  • Geek Club
