After the success of last year’s Shoebox Appeal, where staff and students worked together to fill shoeboxes for homeless families across the city, the team decided that this year they would donate and collect bags instead. The bags would be filled with everyday essentials such as coffee, toiletries, gloves and hats, clothing and anything else which might make a huge difference to another person’s life. The appeal was a huge success and the volume of donations collected by Humber Care (a supporter of local homeless families) was much bigger than anticipated.
Aspire are always on the lookout for ways they can work together to help the local community and hopefully the hard work put in over the last couple of months will make a big difference to those less fortunate.
A massive thank you to the students of 9A who led the project. Well done guys.
