The KS4 Catering group are now studying for a BTEC Level 2 “Jamie Oliver Home Cooking Skills” diploma.

This course will take them through all the basic skills needed to create healthy and economical food and the students will learn how to manage budgets, adapt recipes, and work to safe standards within Aspire’s  fully functional, professional kitchen.
At the end of the course students will be assessed by creating a 2 course meal using independent research and experimenting with the various skills they have picked up along the way.  They will be assessed on the level of skills used and in the final presentation of what I’m sure will be a host of mouth-watering dishes.
