Sam’s Safari returned to Aspire last week and students were given the opportunity not just to meet some unusual animals, but to handle them, learn about them, bond, and confront some of their biggest animal fears. The menagerie was made up of small insects, meerkats, snakes, lizards, armadillos, tortoises and racoons. Although some students were a little anxious to begin with, they all took turns to get to know the animals and even worked together, giving each other encouragement to conquer their anxieties.

The students’ inquisitiveness, care and respect for the animals was exemplary and because we look forward to another visit in the next academic year.
