Last week was Interfaith Week in the UK; a week which celebrated diversity of faith, community and neighbourly partnerships. One of the biggest focuses this year was on spreading kindness, which tied in nicely with World Kindness Day which fell on November 13th.
From the beginning of the week lots of random gifts began to appear on desks and tables around the academy. The generosity and goodwill became infectious and a warm feeling flooded through the classrooms. Small gestures such as opening doors, helping others with work or just making a cup of tea for somebody became the norm and almost everybody got involved.
The overall result – a harmonious academy and plenty of smiles.
